So I start mushies on Saturday!!!!!!! Yay! Can not wait to have something other than a protein shake. Anyway, I am trying to make my grocery list... I am the queen of lists and I was wondering what a day was like for you in mushyville?
Some ideas: Cream of Wheat, Oatmeal, Greek Yogurt, mashed potatoes, refried beans(love the pintos and cheese from Taco Bell) if you are out and need something quick, Bean and Barley soups, blend if they are too chunky, same with Chili. I made some stew in the crockpot until it was fall apart soft. That was delicious. All of these were higher in protein content.
I did lots of cottage cheese. ( sprinkle a dash of ranch dressing mix powder -- so good) Greek yogurt. Oatmeal ( I tried/try to have my higher carb stuff early in the day and go higher protein as the day went on. ) I also made homemade veggie soup and blended it up till it was thick but smooth. ( if you ever did WW - based it on the 0-point soup recipe) After a couple days on mushies I got really froggy and made me a very soft scrambled egg with shredded cheese. ( I would definitely use your own judgement with this but lemme tell ya -- that first egg I ate had to be one of the best things I have ever tasted.
I had refried beans, mashed potatoes, applesauce, pudding, yogurt. I made this soup that I loved and had almost every day. http://www.andreasweightlossjourney.com/2011/06/black-bean-soup.html
pudding, cream of wheat, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese (a little bit of a stretch), chili. It felt so good to have something halfway solid to eat after all that time on liquids.

ReplyDeleteChili blended, tomato basil soup, greek yogurts, white bean and tuna salad that was AMAZING!
I really enjoyed cottage cheese with salad dressing, Jello Temptations, and greek yogurt!
